Opening hours
From Tuesday to Sunday
10:00 am - 6:30 pm
Attention: last access to the Cité, one hour before closing time.
Closed on Mondays and on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
As part of the Francophonie Summit, the Cité is exceptionally closed from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 October inclusive. Thank you for your understanding.
Rates
The ticket gives you access to the tour. The other areas of the Cité are freely accessible (courtyard of the château, passage from the city to the forest through the Cité, exhibition room Un château, un territoire, café and bookshop).
We strongly recommend that you buy your ticket online, to avoid queuing.

The Cité internationale de la langue française is located in the heart of Villers-Cotterêts.
Free car parks: Grand Bosquet and station car park.
Parking spaces available in Villers-Cotterêts town centre.
Disabled parking: Place Aristide Briand, near the entrance to the Cité.
By train
The Cité is accessible by TER, SNCF line Paris-Laon, from the Gare du Nord in Paris (travel time: about 45 min).
Then count on a 10-minute walk from the Villers-Cotterêts station.
By bike
TER trains have dedicated spaces for bicycles, usually in the first and last carriages.
In Villers-Cotterêts, cycle parking is available near the Tourist Office, in front of the Town Hall and in front of the Post Office.
Access
The Cité internationale de la langue française has two entrances: one via the château grounds and one via the city centre.
The Cité has PRM (people with reduced mobility) access and a lift to the first floor.
SERVICES AND VISITING CONDITIONS
- Self-service changing rooms where you can leave your personal belongings, with the exception of bulky luggage (larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm)
- Pushchairs and baby carriers authorised in the Cité
- Changing facilities available on the ground floor
